In The Woods helps sponsor charity event
In The Woods, a provider of log-home packages, has pledged support to the recovery of severely wounded veterans and their families. Parent company AmerLink announced its sponsorship of the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes 2007 Road to Recovery Conference, being held through Wednesday in Florida.
"By supporting the brave veterans who have sacrificed so much for our freedom in the War on Terror, we at In The Woods are also supporting our customers, our neighbors, and the 'family' of In The Woods associates, many of whom have friends and loved ones who have served or are currently serving in the nation's Armed Forces, including myself," commented John Barth, president and CEO of In The Woods. "The Road to Recovery Conference is an important and tangible way to demonstrate our support to our troops and their families."
The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes, www.saluteheroes.org , is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to helping rebuild the lives of severely wounded veterans from the War on Terror and their families.
The event is being held at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel in Orlando.
AmerLink helps send veterans to Tour event
AmerLink, Ltd., donated tickets to help 20 wounded veterans and their families attend the PGA Tour Frys.com Open this past weekend in the Las Vegas area.
Through the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes, a nonprofit dedicated to rebuilding the lives of severely wounded War on Terror veterans and their families, AmerLink's donation allowed helped veterans from Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas with all-weekend tickets.
"We reached out to the Coalition about donating these tickets because of the extraordinary work they do for wounded veterans and their family members through their Family Support Network," said John Barth, president and CEO of AmerLink. "Through our ongoing support of the Coalition's mission, as well as our sponsorship of the Frys.com Open and 2006 Champion Troy Matteson, we are honored to be able to provide these heroes with tickets to this PGA Tour event and give them an opportunity to watch some of the world's greatest golfers."
