John M. Barth, President and CEO

President and Chief Executive Officer of In The Woods since September 18, 2006. Previously, Mr. Barth held various positions in a 12 year career with Cintas Corporation, a provider of uniform services and facility products.

Mr. Barth was recruited to Cintas in 1994 into their Advanced Management Program. His first assignment was as a Service Manager assigned to lead the rapidly growing Central Florida market. He established an immediate culture change. Within eighteen months, his service department rose to #1 in company rankings. Mr. Barth’s successes did not go unnoticed, and Cintas tapped him for its prestigious High Potential team, organized for the development of future General Managers.

In 1997, Mr. Barth was promoted to General Manager leading operations in Raleigh, NC. As a General Manager, he built the Raleigh market to $31.5M within the firm’s Uniform Rental division. Mr. Barth achieved these results by changing the culture of low performance into one focused on success. He painted a vision of the future for the organization, establishing clear goals and building a strong accountability system. Mr. Barth was recognized with the firm’s first Phoenix Award, now given annually to the General Manager whose leadership results in dramatic turnaround within a fiscal year.

Mr. Barth earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from The United States Military Academy at West Point. Upon graduation, he served as an officer in the US Army.

Following his military service, he returned to school to earn an MBA at the University of Michigan, with a concentration in Operations Management.
