About 80% of the log home packages supplied by In the Woods are either custom or highly modified versions of our 75 models. Our planning specialists can assist you with finding and/or altering a floor plan that suits your budget and/or desires.

Services Provided

• In The Woods offers custom quoting from your plans at no cost to you under most circumstances. Blueprints are part of our standard weather tight package.
• Occasionally we are requested or required to offer a design service where a fee is charged. The cost normally runs from $1.00-$3.00 per sq ft depending on the complexity of the plan. This is most common for handcrafted home packages. Engineering services can also be arranged for a fee if needed in your particular location.

Common Design Steps

1. Choose a floor plan from our planning guide or bring your own (this can be as simple as a rough sketch on a napkin).
2. Review changes, log styles, log sizes and available options with your planning specialist. They can also assist you with layout and suggest changes to suit your needs.
3. Your planning specialist will offer either a ballpark or specific quote depending on your building plans and schedule. Specific quotes will include any promotional pricing currently available.
4. Once an agreement is reached on price and delivery schedule, a deposit is placed on the package.
5. Preliminary plans are drawn and reviewed with customer service. Changes are made as needed.
6. Final plans are signed, foundation plans are done.
7. The Customer receives five sets of plans.
