What's included in the package?
Our standard log home package is one of the most complete available in the industry today! By supplying you with quality materials, in the right quantities necessary to complete your home, we're removing the guess work. This continues our commitment to saving you time, money and assuring that the same high standards of quality are evident throughout your home.
Foundation: Foundation set up is the responsibility of the homeowner. Our homes can go on any foundation of your choosing: slab, crawl space or basement…relative to your site and your goals for the usage of your space.
Walls: The wall system includes track-n-lock logs, random lengths (choice of 6 styles, 4 sizes, 4 corners), interior partition framing, gable end truss or framing per plan, and ½” CDX plywood sheathing, Tyvek® building wrap with matching log siding for gable ends, dormers and second story walls.
Floors: Our package includes the pressure treated sill plate and sill sealer for setting the perimeter foundation, the conventional first floor framing with bridging, ¾’’ locking plywood with construction adhesive, and flashing and log skirting. Optionally, a second floor system with ¾” locking plywood is supplied for 1½ and 2 story models.
Doors/Windows: The standard window and door offerings include buck lumber and window extension jambs, Energy Star rated insulated Low E glass, double-hung, awning, angle bay, casement, cottage and special windows per plan with snap-in “colonial” wood grilles and screens (where applicable). Solid wood or steel insulated exterior doors are also supplied.
Roof: Prefabricated wood roof trusses or conventionally framed roof system, per plan specs are supplied along with 5/8” CDX plywood roof sheathing, 30# asphalt impregnated roofer’s felt, 30 year architectural roof shingles, barge rafter and gable end overhang (12” standard), fascia, soffit and vent system, 12”-16” standard eave overhang materials, and roof vents as required.
