Porches & Decks

Porch and exterior deck systems feature treated framing and 5/4x6 bull-nosed decking (upgrade to composite decking available). Rail systems include treated 2x4 rails with 2x2 ballisters, rough sawn pine rails (with the same dimensional pieces as the treated) and round rail systems (3-1/2” diameter rails, 2-1/2” diameter ballisters and 5” diameter posts).

 

Options:

• DECK SYSTEM: Includes pressure treated 2x6 deck joists with double bands, nailer, 5/4 x 6 bull nosed decking and necessary hardware (no railing or stairs)

• BEAMED 2ND FLOOR: Beams will be White Pine with 2x6 T&G decking.

Upgrades:

• ROUND BALCONY OR DECK RAIL SYSTEM: All white wood; includes top & bottom rail (3-1/2” diameter), predrilled for spindles, posts (5” diameter) and spindles (2-1/2” to 2-3/4” diameter) – spacing between spindles will be a maximum of 4”; posts reveal above top rail 3” to 4”. Note: Posts are NOT predrilled for rails.

• ROUND PORCH POST: 8” (nominal) x 8’ round white wood log porch posts and 6”x8” rough sawn carry beams replace 4”x6”x8’ white pine porch posts and 6”x6” RS carry beam.
