Stairs & Railings

Handcrafted stair systems (1/2 log treads, either log or rough sawn timber stringers) or Douglas Fir (4x12 treads, 4x12 stringers) are available as finished stair systems. To either, the round rail system described above may be added.

 

Options:

• DECK RAIL PACKAGE: Includes 2x2 pressure treated ballisters (6” O.C.), 2x4 and 2x6 top rail, 2x4 bottom rail and necessary hardware (no stairs).

Upgrades:

• ROUND PORCH RAIL SYSTEM: All white wood; includes top & bottom rail (3-1/2” diameter), predrilled for spindles, and spindles (2-1/2” to 2-3/4” diameter) spacing between spindles will be a maximum of 4”.

• ROUND STAIR RAIL SYSTEM: All white wood; includes top & bottom rail (3-1/2” diameter), flattened on spindle side (underside of top rail, topside of bottom rail), posts (5” diameter) and spindles (2-1/2” to 2-3/4” diameter) - spacing between spindles will be a maximum of 4”; posts reveal above top rail mating 3” to 4”. Note: Rails are NOT predrilled for spindles; posts are NOT predrilled for rails.

• LOG STAIR SYSTEM: Handcrafted log treads, 4x - rough sawn pine or handcrafted log stringers, lag screws, 4x framing and 2x6 decking for landing, if applicable.
